Kyiv region. Villages that were among the first to come under enemy fire. The lives and efforts of whole generations have turned into garbage and ashes.
There was a house, a barn, a kitchen, an outbuilding… But now there is nothing.
“And where do you live now?” the main question to which there was no answer.
In spring, volunteers and various companies already started the construction of small modular houses for those who needed it the most. Those houses can even have two rooms, a shower, a bathroom, and many windows. Houses are built in those areas where people once lived, so from the windows, you can see pulses of debris left over from the past life. The price for such housing starts at $5,000. That’s the price for being the owner of your own house again on your own land.
The woman shows how she is now settled. She cries, then she smiles and says, “You can sleep well here.” The bed is neatly made, and curtains are already hanging on the windows.
According to open-source data, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 200 modular houses have been built in Kyiv region to provide housing for families who lost their homes. The work continues today.
